This is a series I am currently working on in which I draw the silhouettes of cats with galaxies inside the silhouettes. I would really appreciate if you refrained from 'copying' this piece. I am quite proud of this considering I made it with acrylic paint which is my weakness.
I just use acrylic paints on wood. ;U; I pretty much just paint the surface black and then add puffs of color. After that I splatter some white paint and detail a few of the larger splatters to look like stars.
I can honestly say, I bloody love this piece. The attention to detail is just... Breathtaking, seriously. You drew the sky so beautifully it almost looks real, and yet it has an enchanted sort of fairytale look to it. The fact that its in the shape of a cat only makes it that much more awesome. I really love looking at this piece, it's amazing. I'll admit I am a sucker for silhouette art, but this has got to be one of my favourite concepts so far! Rad work! ;)
This ... this is fantastic. Beyond fantastic. Galaxy-type things are my weakness, but also what I would love to be able to create/color well. You have successfully shown those acrylics who's boss and come up with this incredible piece! I love how beautifully the eyes stand out among the dark blues and blacks, and the little extra shines (the shiniest stars) add a great touch. Did you use a splattering technique to get all the tiny stars?
My god, this is amazing. You put so much detail, and when I saw the thumbnail, I thought it was some sort of digital thing where you can get the galaxy part from google. GOD I WAS WRONG THIS IS GORGEOUS.
